Der Hintergrund zeigt eine Art Regionslandschaft, bestehend aus Ortschaften, Flüssen bzw. Seen, Fabriken und anderen Einrichtungen. Innerhalb der Siedlungen sind einzelne Bereiche mit strichlierter Linie abgegrenzt. In diesen Bereichen sind kleine Personensymbole in orange sowie Flächenangaben (z.B. 2,5 ha, 460 m2) platziert.

International experts will discuss experiences and thoughts on current developments in the humanitarian aid sector. Under the motto “Forced to Flee – Humanity on the Run” the following topics will be discussed at the 4th Humanitarian Congress Vienna:

  • The Erosion of International Human Rights Law – Who Cares?
  • Refugee Health – Time for Change
  • Why are People Forced to Flee?
  • Civil Society and Refugees: Lessons Learned
  • Leaving No One Behind – A Mission Impossible?

One of the key aims of the Humanitarian Congress Vienna is to address changing humanitarian needs and to increase the visibility of humanitarian work. The congress takes place every two years and is organised by the organisations Austrian Red Cross, Caritas Austria, Doctors Without Borders Austria , Global Responsibility – Platform for Development and Humanitarian Aid as well as SOS Children’s Villages International in collaboration with CARE, Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, Hilfswerk Austria International, HOPE ́87, Jugend Eine Welt, LIGHT FOR THE WORLD and World Vision.
